But mom blogger Dominique Davis makes motherhood look easy.

The mom blogger is gaining fame for her adorable, and actually pretty simple, photos of her family.

We're all feeling pretty happy in our new matching @sondeflor dresses. Of course, a simple smile for Penny wouldn't be funny enough, so this is what we got instead ? 'It spins mammy; it spins!’ which for Penny is how the only way to determine if a dress is worthy to wear, or not. For Amelia and me, it’s all about the comfort and general coolness of wearing a soft linen dress, and alright, we may partake in the occasional spin too. Well shiver me timbers, what do we have here? This is what happens when you ask Penny for ideas for this week’s #allthatisthree. Pirates! And it’s a perfect representation of our day because that squishy little face has been more unruly than any pirate could ever be. We’ve had tears, tantrums, whining, arguing, the whole works. If we had a ship, she’d be walking the plank by now ?. When does this mellow? Does it ever? Amelia was always so easy-going and quiet when she was younger, but I’m starting to think that the frightful fours are taking over from the terrible twos! ?

There's a new craze in the world of kids. Every night these two scientists take over my kitchen, turn it into their lab, raid my kitchen cupboards, and make their very own….slime (usually adding glitter to *really* maximise the mess ??) . Anybody else experiencing this? When I was a kid it was all about Pogs – a game where you'd hit two circular pieces of card with a 'slammer' in the hope of turning them both over (riveting stuff ?). We're such a croissant loving family. I'm pretty sure that Penny's (and probably my) diet is 96% pastry. So, when @thewhitecompany asked me how I was escaping to the summer this year, I immediately thought of food and al fresco dining. It’s all been about the 80s this weekend. First the Goblin King made (a rather large ?) comeback on Friday night ?, and now this. The verdict: we’d all happily go back – crimped big hair, colours, and the music #allthatisthree #whp? And a big Happy Mother’s Day! The motherhood journey and story is different and unique to us all; no one is the same (much like the kids we raise). There’s no right or wrong way to parent, there’s just your way. From how you became one, to how to you do it and what it means to you. The sleepless nights, early mornings, the random I love you’s, meal times that always require serious negotiation and bargaining skills, the doubting yourself (am I doing it right?), the proud moments (Amelia performing in her show and Penny reading the word ‘chicken’ out of the menu this weekend) and the unconditional love. The memories we make, the #allthatisthree’s we create, I love our wonderful family, I wouldn’t change a thing (well, apart from the early mornings, I’d happily say farewell to those ?) . I got to celebrate with lots of food, a lengthy lie in (much needed after Friday night), and got to listen to *my* music all day long (Simply Red, Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson, Elton John – they’ve had the pleasure of hearing them all).

Because I can’t get enough of that squishy little face or get over how much Amelia has changed in just a few short months. What that squishy little face doesn’t know is that she’s going to see the ‘real’ Mary Poppins at Disneyland Paris in May with the family. The plan is to tell her the day before we leave, maybe even the morning of because she has no concept of time right now, so I don’t think any of us could bear the daily “is it Disneyland time yet?” over breakfast, every morning ?. But also, the thought of the excitement and the thrill of being whisked away to a magical place within 24hours sounds like a good plan too. An old work colleague once told me that when she was younger, her parents woke her up crazy early one morning and told her that she was going to London to see Michael Jackson that day. Can you imagine? I adored Michael Jackson when I was a kid (I was obsessed), so although the car journey would’ve been torturous for anyone with me (“are we there yet?” shouted over MJ’s back catalogue), it would’ve been my childhood dream. It’s a story that stayed with me and an reveal that I always wanted to do one day with my kids, if I could keep the secret long enough. I can’t give them MJ, but I can do Disney ☺️. This weekend has been all about the flowers. Flower crowns, Penny's Floral Faffing Workshop (she sat for a good 30 minutes just cutting up petals and stems), flower baths, even the snowdrops decided to make an appearance in the garden. If you’ve got spots, then we’ve got them too. Showing our love and support for little P who is finally over the awful stages of chickenpox, but is still covered in spots from head to toe (they’re even in her mouth!). But, when it comes to family, you have to share the good and the bad, so we couldn’t just stop at matching clothes ? #WHPwithlove #allthatisthree We’ve all been confined to the house this week, with not a lot going on (one of the effects of having a contagious child ??), so fill me in with all your news – what’s been going on? And the grey hairs. The wrinkles. The early mornings. Unfinished conversations. Cold coffees. Lateness (I was late before my kids came along, but I’m sure the reason that it’s not improving is because of them ?). Crowded bathroom trips and the crowded bed. The weekend’s that are filled with soft play visits and parties. The extra mileage on the car from being a personal taxi service. My messy house. The never-ending flow of washing. The constant negotiating. It’s all because of the kids. And yet, I wouldn’t have it any other way ?. Thank you all so much for your comments, advice and opinions on my last post. The sign says “joy.”

Their faces say “whatever the opposite of ‘joy’ is.” Oh yeah, that would be sadness. They’re sad.

That was unexpected!

I guess there is something worse than having your baby cry during a photo shoot. Not only did this kid puke, but look at how happy he/she is at the work they did!

Sure, the parents look happy at the news.

But look at the girl holding the sign. She looks totally and completely over it. She knows that three’s the magic number and the family should stop there.

Inverted child!

This clearly wasn’t a formal shoot or anything, but maybe you could Photoshop that kid to be facing the right way? Also, get a little closer together, guys. You look like strangers!

You’ve got Angry Kid, Crying Kid, and Nose-Picking Kid. I’m not sure which one I would pick if I had to. They all look problematic in their own special way.

Karate Kid strikes again!

Nothing screams “family dinner” like a seven-year-old in a karate outfit showing off his moves in a wood-paneled restaurant. Enjoy your meal, folks.

A special mother-son moment!

I think that’s a son. It could be a girl. It’s hard to tell with newborns. Maybe Mom should have waited a few weeks before scheduling these photos.

A familiar feeling, no doubt.

As a kid, family photos are a) awful, and b) make no sense. Why would anyone subject themselves to this AND pay money for the hassle? This kid clearly objects.

Again, three kids with three very different expressions.

I sorta feel bad for these parents. Not only are these kids expressive, but it’s clear they’re not ashamed to share their emotions even if no one asked to see them.

Unruly kids in photos transcend cultures.

Even in Japan, a country built on quiet respect, kids play by their own rules. I wonder if the parents are keeping straight faces for decorum or if it’s because they’re going to kill him.

There’s one explanation I can think of here.

Maybe these aren’t the kids’ real relatives? I mean, kids are so awful during photo sessions that you could take kidnapped children in for an appointment and they wouldn’t be any worse to deal with.

What’s wrong with this picture?

As you can see, none of them feel TOO bad about this. I guess it’s just an understanding family…that will never, ever be able to potty train their kids.

The older kid gets it.

You don’t have to reach middle age to realize you don’t need to sweat the small stuff. Sometimes, the easiest solution is to just grin and bear it.

Well, what did you expect when you put lipstick on the boy?

Look at him. He’s clearly deranged. And why on Earth would anyone have a knife on hand for a picture? Even if it’s just a casual one inside the house…weird.

As weird as all of this is, there’s something front-and-center that’s far weirder.

Why is there a couch in the woods? And not like a folksy, plaid one, but a black leather Miami Vice-style number? That’s the weirdest thing about this photo.

I guess if you want to get a picture that really captures what the family dynamic is like, then this is pretty spot-on. I wonder if he did anything to earn that sentence or if it’s just for the sake of the pic.

Choking, crying, and taunting.

This photo really shows off a good percentage of what it’s like to be a parent of four rambunctious kids.

Caution: Falling child

It’s not often that family photo captures a true disaster as it unfolds, but let’s hope this poor kid didn’t really tumble off a bridge. Because…things don’t look good for her in this pic.

Sure, it’s always the kids that are lying down, but I’m sure the parents feel like collapsing as well. At least they got some funny pics out of the experience!
