These beautiful creatures are part of the Canidae family which includes wolves, jackals, and dogs.

Soviet scientist Dmitry Belyaev bred silver foxes that exhibited domestic traits, including floppy ears, tail wagging, and spotted coats.
Foxes are the only type of dog capable of retracting their claws like cats do.
They have vertical pupils like cats.

The fox’s thick tail helps it balance and serves as a warm cover in the winter.
